GROWER SPOTLIGHT Mike Del Ciancio

An orchestra plays in harmonious symphony to create auditory art that stimulates the senses. However, if a single note is played off-key or if the strings of a violin are not correctly tuned, the success of the entire performance can be derailed. While there are many different sounds that contribute to an orchestra, sometimes it’s the faintest sounds that have the largest impact on forging synergy and collaboration of the composition. These sounds are similar to the integral role played by partner growers to support the success of Mucci Farms.

Many, whether familiar or unfamiliar with the greenhouse industry, may be surprised to learn that there are many moving parts that must unite cohesively behind the scenes. In addition to Mucci Farms greenhouses, partner growers work hand in hand to grow many of the products that are seen across store shelves. Through growing up and working on his family farm, Mike developed a passion for growing greenhouse vegetables while incorporating modern technologies to keep an eye on the future. With a focus on innovation and strengthening his team, Mike’s philosophy revolves around hard work, teamwork and a family-oriented culture—just like Mucci Farms.

Mike Del Ciancio and his team at DC Farms work diligently throughout the year to grow fresh produce for Mucci Farms to bring to market.
