Humble beginnings in an old storage room consisting of a single desk, a chair, a tomato crate, a telephone, and a credit book.
With an evident Yin and Yang presence, their balance and counterbalance is on full display whenever they are together. When the Sales & Marketing Division came to be, seemingly overnight, Joe and Danny leaned on each other’s skills and experience. Their collaboration in these early days worked so well because of the balance between Danny’s knowledge of produce from growing up on the farm and Joe’s passion for and experience in sales.
The synergistic relationship between them has enabled them to work hand in hand to lead their sales team and the company to high levels of success. They both lead with the philosophy that they are not above their staff, but rather, equals, which has ultimately helped create a true sense of family business meets corporate company, as everyone works towards the same goals with humility and mutual respect.
As the team has expanded, their principles and values have stayed the same. Their ultimate goal of cultivating long lasting and meaningful working relationships with their customers, no matter how big or small, has been passed down and carried forward by all of #TeamMucci.
The early days have not only helped them appreciate their current achievements, but they have also helped them learn and grow along the way. Today, a sense of pride swells over them both as they look out to a passionate and driven sales and marketing team dedicated to selling the very produce that started it all.
